AppStore Reaches 3 BILLION DOWNLOADS!!!

The App Store has been doing great, reaching 2 billion downloads with about 100,000 apps a few months ago. A couple months later (4 months to be exact), we’ve all contributed to a staggering 3,000,000,000 downloads of a wide range of apps. According to PocketGamer, this adds up to 10 million downloads per day! A ridiculous number, and some crazy applications have all done their part, from fart apps to whiteboard apps. This number could accelerate a great deal, as there’s expected to be over 200,000 apps sometime this year to be available in the AppStore – that’s double the number back in December.

?iSlate? To hit January the 27th with new iPhone SDK?

Well this isn’t really iPhone news, It’s quite interesting and i’m sure TONS are eager to hear it. According John Paczkowski over at AllThings D apple is planing a giant product announcement, presumably the“iSlate” on January 27th. Also the French site Mac4Ever saysdevelopers have been given a beta of the iPhone OS 4 SDK which includesa “simulator” for reformatting / scaling applications to oursoon-to-be-new tablet-sized screens. Tell us your thoughts about this“Tablet” and do you think you would buy one? I just hope that it's as good as I imagined it. I guess i'll just keep my fingures crossed. :D

This video will be showing you how to jailbreak any iPhone or iPod touch running firmware 3.1.2!

(Every generation)

*If your device freezes for any reason during the Jailbreak just press the home and power button for about 15 seconds to let it reboot and try again.

*If you have the 3rd Generation iPod touch then it will be a tethered jailbreak. if you turn off your device just connect your iPod to the computer and run the program again it shouldn't erase any of your apps and stuff.

*If you need to unlock your iPhone after the jailbreak just look up Blacksn0w in youtube for a tutorial.

*If your new iPod Touch 2G/3G 8g model number starts with MB it'll work, if your model starts with MC it won't. Go to Settings - General - About to see your model number.

New iPhone (iPhone 3G S)

You read right there is a new iPhone, and it is called iPhone 3G S. The S in the name stands for speed because the new iPhone will be twice as fast the regular iPhone 3G. It's the same design (black or white) and it wont come in the 8GB version, but it will come in 16GB and 32GB. But wait it gets better the new iPhone will have a 3 megapixel camera that will record VIDEO!!!! I've said this once but will say it again, it gets better, the new iPhone 3G S will be available for the incredebly low price of $199 for the 16GB version and for $299 for the 32GB version!

Other cool new facts:

Digital Compass
Find me (if you lose your iPhone)
More battery life
Everything that is included in the 3.0 Firmware (like copy/paste. Look it up in Google)
Auto Focus feature for video recording
Video Editing
MMS
Voice Recognition

How would you like to open any app you wanted to by just double tapping the home button?

Well now you can with Custom HomeButton in Cydia. Custom HomeButton allows you to set any AppStore/Cydia/Default app to the Double Tap function on your iPhone or iPod Touch.

All you need to do is add the Touch-Mania source in Cydia: http://cydia.touch-mania.com/

search for it and install it.
